'I was asked to accompany the author John Grindrod on a tour of the Post Office Tower as part of his research for the book Concretopia. I was there to record the day while he was given a rare opportunity to tour the structure and the extraordinary foundations below in the company of an expert and custodian who gave us the opportunity to visit floor 14. Now abandoned for decades, it's a lost, forgotten space, useless for any kind of modern technology. Just a few feet of curved office crammed between the windows and lift shafts, piled high with redundant hardware, abandoned paperwork, ring - bound manuals, and discarded lunch plates.'
